Aydın Ayaydın responds to allegations by AKP's Savcı Sayan: 'They won't stick to me'
After CHP's Ali Mahir Başarır pointed to Aydın Ayaydın following corruption allegations made by AKP's Savcı Sayan on social media, Ayaydın broke his silence, denied the claims, and issued a call to Sayan.
AKP's Savcı Sayan, in a statement on his social media account, spoke of a politician and businessperson who allegedly used their proximity to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to handle various affairs. Sayan claimed that this individual has ties to the PKK and FETÖ, is attempting to shape the CHP, and is trying to manage the AKP as if it were their own property.
QUESTION FROM BAŞARIR REGARDING AYAYDIN
Sayan's statements caught the attention of CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır. In a statement made before his party's group meeting, Başarır asked whether the person Sayan was implying was the AKP's Muğla Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate, Aydın Ayaydın.
AYAYDIN BREAKS HIS SILENCE
Aydın Ayaydın broke his silence regarding these allegations, categorically denying the accusations. Addressing Savcı Sayan, Ayaydın demanded that he reveal the name and put an end to this ambiguity. "Such allegations will not stick to me; my conscience is clear, my head is held high. I declare to the public once again on this occasion that I have nothing to be ashamed of," he said.
Ayaydın stated that Sayan's remarks are harming the AK Party and President Erdoğan, and invited Sayan to submit any information or documents he possesses to judicial authorities. Ayaydın emphasized that such speculation damages the party's reputation and leads to unnecessary controversy.
Finally, Ayaydın announced that he would initiate legal proceedings against the baseless allegations made about him.
