DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan made evaluations regarding the “fund fraud” allegations currently being debated in the public eye during a program he attended on MK TV. Addressing President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Babacan demanded that the names allegedly linked to the crisis be disclosed.
Claiming that the list in question is already in front of Erdoğan, Babacan emphasized that the process must be conducted transparently. Babacan stated that failing to share the list with the public would only increase questions.
Babacan noted that the allegations cannot be brushed aside with mere political statements, expressing that the issue must also be addressed in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The DEVA Party leader called for the establishment of an investigative commission in Parliament.
Babacan’s statements have caused the ongoing debates under the heading of the “fund crisis” to take on a new dimension in politics. The call from the opposition front demands both the disclosure of names and the implementation of parliamentary oversight to shed light on the allegations.
