Bahadır Erdem confirms claims he will join CHP
Journalist Barış Yarkadaş reported that Bahadır Erdem, who resigned from the İYİ Party, confirmed the claims that he will join the CHP.
Former İYİ Party General Administrative Board (GİK) member Bahadır Erdem, who drew attention with his post following the Republican People's Party's (CHP) major victory in the local elections, met with Özgür Özel at the party headquarters today.
It was reported that the meeting, which took place before the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting, was 'positive'.
'ÖZGÜR ÖZEL WILL PIN ERDEM'S BADGE'
Journalist Barış Yarkadaş stated during a live broadcast that he had spoken with Bahadır Erdem and that he had confirmed the claims that he would join the CHP.
Yarkadaş included the following remarks: "I spoke with Prof. Dr. Bahadır Erdem. Bahadır Erdem is joining the CHP tomorrow. Upon the invitation of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, they held a very comprehensive meeting today. I called him just now. When I asked him, 'Are you joining the CHP?', he smiled and said, 'Everything discussed in the CHP is learned in 1 minute.' Erdem said, 'There is only one path of reason, and I will continue my political struggle under the roof of the CHP from now on.' Erdem will join the CHP after the group meeting that Özel will hold, and Özel will pin his badge."
In a post he made after the March 31 Local Administration Elections, Erdem had shared the following regarding the CHP's victory:
Politics in our country seems to have entered a period of softening. Because in the local elections, the AKP is the second party after the CHP in terms of vote percentage. Sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the nation. No tyrannical power can stand before the nation.
