‘Gaza’ phone call from Bahçeli to Davutoğlu

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had reacted to Israel in a statement on his social media account due to the attacks that have blockaded Gaza and caused thousands of deaths so far. Following Bahçeli's statement, Felicity Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu and Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu also supported this statement.

In a statement made by the MHP, it was emphasized that Bahçeli "conveyed his thanks to Davutoğlu for the support he gave to the tweet he shared yesterday regarding his sensitivity on the Gaza issue."

According to the statement, Davutoğlu also conveyed his thanks to Bahçeli "on behalf of all Gazans for his sensitivity regarding the Palestinian issue."

It was stated that during the phone call, the two leaders also agreed to hold a face-to-face meeting in the coming days to address the Gaza issue.

HE HAD GIVEN A 24-HOUR ULTIMATUM

Bahçeli had made the following post on his social media account regarding the massacre Israel committed in Gaza:

"Our call as the Nationalist Movement Party is this: If a ceasefire is not achieved within 24 hours from today, if the attacks do not stop, and if bombs continue to be dropped on the oppressed, I share this openly with my nation: Turkey must intervene immediately and do whatever is necessary as required by its historical, humanitarian, and faith-based responsibilities. Undertaking the mission of protecting and watching over Gaza is the legacy of our ancestors.

The Republic of Turkey is ready to make Gaza a city of smiling children, an Islamic land where our brothers and sisters will live in peace and security; we have sworn to this, and praise be to God, we are capable of it. The Turkish nation and all believers stand with our President in his active and multidimensional diplomatic struggle."

DAVUTOĞLU HAD GIVEN SUPPORT

Davutoğlu had also supported Bahçeli following this post:

"Despite those who have been trying to cover up the massacre in Gaza for days with perception management and provocative outbursts, just as we support every step taken and every call made to put an end to this crime against humanity; I also appreciate and support the expressions voiced by Mr. @dbdevletbahceli for our brothers and sisters in Gaza and Palestine."
