Bahçeli had shaken hands: MHP's neighbor in the Turkish Parliament has changed

The Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) has changed its General Assembly seating plan for the 3rd legislative year of the 28th term, just as it did last year.

The TBMM General Assembly seating plan, which is organized according to the number of deputies parties win in elections, was changed last year due to the Saadet Group formed by the Saadet Party with the Future Party (Gelecek Partisi).

This time, the change in the seating plan occurred due to the loss of members experienced by the IYI Party.

IYI PARTY LOST A ROW

The IYI Party has lost 13 of the 43 deputies it won in the 2023 elections.

According to the report by Gerçek Gündem, this loss of members also affected the IYI Party's location in the TBMM General Assembly. The IYI Party, which previously had three rows of seats, was forced to cede one row to the MHP. Thus, the MHP once again has three rows of seats in the seating plan.

MHP HAS ONCE AGAIN BECOME NEIGHBORS WITH DEM

MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli's gesture of visiting and greeting the DEM Group during the opening ceremony of the TBMM General Assembly had been widely discussed. With the new arrangement made in the TBMM General Assembly, the DEM and MHP have become neighbors again, just as they were before.

According to the new seating plan, the TBMM Presidency placed the Saadet Party at the very beginning as the smallest political party group, followed by the IYI Party, MHP, DEM, CHP, and AKP in order.
