Bahçeli had taken to the field: 'AKP is about to throw in the towel in Ankara'
Journalist Murat Yetkin wrote that the AKP is about to throw in the towel in Ankara and is hopeful about the DEM Party in Istanbul.
Journalist and author Murat Yetkin stated in his column today that "The AK Party is about to throw in the towel in Ankara, and is hopeful about the DEM in Istanbul."
In his article written 25 days before the local elections regarding the candidates in Istanbul and Ankara, Yetkin used the following expressions:
"THERE ARE 3 REASONS"
"The AK Party is about to throw in the towel in Ankara. There are three reasons for me to reach this conclusion. One is MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's visit to the district on March 5 to support Turgut Altınok, the People's Alliance's Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate and current AK Party Keçiören Mayor.
The second is what AK Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa Şen said on CNN Türk.
CHP seems to have made the right choice in Ankara by insisting on Yavaş, who holds the nationalist, republican, secular, and moderate conservative segments together.
"IT WILL NOT BE THANKS TO KURUM'S SUCCESS"
Although there is no situation of throwing in the towel in Istanbul like there is in Ankara; there is a fierce race. Almost all parties, and even some factions within the CHP, are against İmamoğlu winning. But if CHP's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu loses, it will not be thanks to the success of AK Party candidate Murat Kurum."
