Mother's Day message from Bahçeli: Emphasis on the 'opening' process

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli said in his statement for Mother's Day that mothers are the cornerstone of the social structure and the primary guardians of national and spiritual values.

Emphasizing that mothers are the source of not only individual but also social peace, Bahçeli stated, "In a society where the tears of mothers do not dry, one cannot speak of true happiness."

Bahçeli used the following expressions in his message:

Our mothers, whose fountains of compassion, fortitude, majesty, and affection flow endlessly, ceaselessly, and unremittingly on the slopes of their hearts and in the depths of their eyes, are not only the crown of our heads and the center of our lives, but also the source of abundance and the banner of prayer in this mortal life; furthermore, they are the measures of pride, reputation, and respect.

In the mornings of sleepless nights that one is forced to wake up to, in the gloomy evenings of troubles piling up knot by knot, from the rocking cradle to the stages of childhood and adulthood that expand like a cluster, our mothers, who radiate heat and light just like the sun, are the symbols of patience and the mountain peaks of sacrifice. They are the towers of pure love and the peaceful havens of an unadulterated heart.

Our mothers are the pillars of meaning and content, the guardians of civilization and gratitude for the institution of the family, which has become a target of planned and operational degeneration today. As long as the tears flowing from the tear ducts of our mothers, who fall into the clutches of suffering, are drowned in sorrow with a thousand troubles, and burn with the pain and longing for their children, we certainly cannot be at ease, and we cannot reach lasting tranquility and happiness in our inner and outer worlds. For this reason, we must treat our mothers with respect above all else and strive to be worthy of their unparalleled rights and efforts upon us. A peaceful mother means a peaceful family. A peaceful family means a peaceful person and nation. The family is the final trench of our national and spiritual survival, and our mothers are the cherished guarantors of this trench.

I congratulate our mothers, whose hands are to be kissed, on Mother's Day with my best wishes, and I greet our mothers living in every corner of our country, especially those who are the entrusted legacies of our heroic martyrs, with the most enthusiastic feelings of my heart and my most sincere respects.

I wish for God's mercy upon our mothers who have passed into eternity.
