Bakırhan's statement on 'Bahçeli'! 'The East and Southeast are praying'

DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan made notable remarks regarding the 'new resolution process' that began following the call from MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli during a program he attended on tv100.

"THEY ARE PRAYING FOR BAHÇELİ"

Stating that Bahçeli has broken the mold in the new process, Bakırhan used the expression, "The East and Southeast are now praying for Devlet Bahçeli." Emphasizing that Bahçeli's approach represents a stance that breaks the mold, Bakırhan expressed that this attitude is a positive step for the success of the peace process.

Bakırhan argued that there is no opposition to Turkish being the official language, stating that Kurds only want to live their own language and culture freely and that they contributed to the founding of the Republic.

THE CALL MADE BY ÖCALAN

Touching upon the call made by PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, Bakırhan said the following:

"Öcalan made a call, and the armed side responded. They said, 'We support it wholeheartedly.' It is necessary to talk about the process proceeding in the right way. There are some requirements for the PKK to convene its congress. One must look at the bigger picture.

The interlocutors of this matter have already received the messages. Öcalan also sent a letter to the SDF. The answer to the letter has also arrived. As the DEM Party, we have not seen that letter or the response received."
