It has been reported that Berhan Şimşek, who was appointed as a deputy chairman in the CHP, is continuing his provincial programs following the emergence of footage regarding allegations that he committed violence against Özlem Şanver.

It was announced that Şimşek participated in a series of programs in Düzce on September 23 and will be in Bilecik on Thursday, September 24. It was observed that Şimşek was listed on program posters with the title of CHP Deputy Chairman.

The fact that Şimşek is continuing his programs during a period when Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was reportedly brought to the CHP chairmanship following a court ruling of "absolute nullity," has emphasized "purification" has sparked controversy.

In footage previously shared on social media, it was alleged that Şimşek attempted to force Özlem Şanver into a house by assaulting her, while Şanver was seen trying to break free.

Following the emergence of the footage, Şimşek had announced his resignation from the CHP Central Executive Board (MYK) until the lawsuits against him were concluded. Upon Şanver's application, a restraining order was issued against Şimşek on the grounds of psychological and physical violence, and it was stated that the order was extended for another two months in June.
