Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık arrested
Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık, who was detained during an operation targeting İmamoğlu, has been arrested.
Union of Municipalities of Turkey (TBB) and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was detained on March 19 as part of two separate investigations launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into "corruption" and "terrorism" charges, following the cancellation of his 31-year-old diploma.
In the investigation launched alongside İmamoğlu under the "corruption" charge for "establishing a criminal organization," detention warrants were issued for 100 people, including Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık and İBB executives.

A decision has been reached regarding Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık, who was referred to court with a request for his arrest.
