İYİ Party Economic Policies President Bilge Yılmaz has called on Chair Meral Akşener to resign.
Citing the poor results obtained by the İYİ Party in the March 31 local elections, Yılmaz also announced his resignation from his post.
"I AM RESIGNING"
Yılmaz stated the following:
"I invite İYİ Party Chair Ms. Meral Akşener to resign.
We must start working today so that our country can be rid of the AK Party government's poor and incompetent administration in the upcoming general elections. These results have shown that we have a lot of work to do and no time to lose.
In order to focus on the work I will carry out in this direction, I am resigning from my position as the İYİ Party Economic Policies President."
