CHP's Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere, who had been suspended from his post, has been reinstated.
It has been announced that Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere, who was arrested and suspended from office as part of operations targeting CHP-run municipalities, has been reinstated.
The Ministry of Interior stated, "Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman TUTDERE was suspended from his duties as a temporary measure on 10.07.2025, in accordance with Article 127 of the Constitution and Article 47 of Law No. 5393, following his arrest on charges of 'Extortion by Coercion' and his subsequent release under the judicial control condition of 'house arrest.' Upon the lifting of the 'house arrest' judicial control by the Istanbul 6th Criminal Judgeship of Peace with its decision dated 25.07.2025 and numbered 2025/8494, Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere has been reinstated to his post by the Minister of Interior."
