Breaking News... Özgür Özel announces: Dilek İmamoğlu's passport has been cancelled!
CHP leader Özgür Özel announced that the diplomatic passport of Dilek İmamoğlu, wife of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, has been cancelled.
As part of the operations targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Hasan İmamoğlu and Selim İmamoğlu, the father and son of CHP's presidential candidate and IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, arrived at the police station to provide statements as 'suspects' in the 'corruption' investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, facing charges of 'bribery' and 'laundering assets derived from crime'.
DİLEK İMAMOĞLU'S DIPLOMATIC PASSPORT CANCELLED
While discussions continue regarding the investigation extending to İmamoğlu's family, CHP leader Özgür Özel announced that the diplomatic passport of İmamoğlu's wife, Dilek İmamoğlu, has also been cancelled.
In his statement, Özgür Özel said, "Let me tell you something you will hear from me for the first time. Dilek Hanım was going to go abroad to receive an award given to Ekrem Bey. They told Dilek Hanım when she intended to go abroad, they sent a message, 'Your passport will be cancelled.' Dilek Hanım and the children have diplomatic passports granted to Metropolitan Mayors by a law passed by this Parliament. They have cancelled it. What happened? You will get a normal, regular passport. Currently, Ekrem İmamoğlu's title is the elected Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality... But is there a court decision? Has he received a sentence? Has the sentence he received been upheld?"
