Breaking News: Statement from Devlet Bahçeli regarding the Sinan Ateş case! He openly threatened Halk TV and the CHP

The 28th term, third legislative year of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) began as of today.

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made statements regarding the agenda at his party's group meeting.

Highlights from Bahçeli's statements are as follows:

My dear fellow deputies, esteemed guests, and valuable representatives of our press, today we will both hold the first group meeting of the 28th term, 3rd legislative year of the TBMM, and begin legislative work with the general assembly convening as of the 15th. I greet you all and offer my best wishes.

THE OPENING OF THE NEW TBMM TERM

I convey my love and greetings to all our citizens following our meeting. I hope the 3rd legislative year will be auspicious for political parties, our country, and our nation. I wish our deputies success.

There are no inevitable defeats or victories in politics. Politics is a culture of responsibility and a cluster of consensus that does not overlook the present and does not turn its back on the past. It is a debt of homeland and existence for every deputy serving in the 28th term of the TBMM to be bound to this history. This debt is a duty of independence and future.

It will be seen that disasters occur in periods when unity weakens. Drawing the coordinates of the future by benefiting from the past is the hallmark of visionary societies and nations. There is no end to second-hand beliefs and destructive thoughts. It is beyond imagination for thoughts divided into camps to support a common future.

"EVERYONE SHOULD TAKE THEIR HAND OFF THE TRIGGER OF HOSTILITY WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME"

We must stop the dangerous current that has gripped our country. Although there are many who speak of justice and fairness, those who remain loyal are few. Human rights and law are being trampled upon. It is negligence to tear each other apart and become devilish when we could live like brothers. Everyone should take their hand off the trigger of hostility while there is still time. There is no other Turkey. There is no other place where I can wander like a refugee in another region. Every member of the Turkish nation is obligated to bind each other tightly. We must show resistance not only at mosques and wedding processions, but in every area of life. The Turkish nation is a large and powerful family. It is our safest, most compassionate sanctuary. Breaking away from our sources and root values under the guise of change is not for us. Counting sparks in the middle of a fire will not gain anyone anything.

"IF THERE IS ANYONE WHO WANTS TO TRY THEIR LUCK, COME ON!"

It is our national unity and existence that is being targeted. Let the whole world hear that our dead are martyrs, our living are heroes, those against us are extremists, and our resistance and determination are formidable. If there is anyone who wants to try their luck, come on.

"WE WILL KEEP THE PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE ALIVE"

Do not ever be tempted to play with destruction over the founding principles and founding will of the Republic of Turkey.

We have no time to waste on fake and virtual agendas. We do not have a cowardly nature that will bow to global projects, say 'okay', hide, or cower.

We have absolutely no nature that will bow to social media assassinations. We stand behind whatever we have said. We will do whatever we say. We will protect our Turkey. We will keep the People's Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı) alive.

We will not leave the field empty for converted and DEM-infiltrated fossils.

We will consider our unity and togetherness a blessing. We will see every member of the Turkish nation as one of our own.

"US-BACKED ISRAELI TERROR STATE"

The war has broken out as much as it could. There is no benefit in distorting the overt war environment. Israel is the latest version of a rogue state that has spiraled out of control.

The US-backed Israeli terror state has plagued the entire Middle East. It has automated its assassinations and attacks by infiltrating key and critical targets.

The massacre of Hezbollah leader Nasrallah in Beirut last week, followed by point operations against other leaders forming the first ring of Hezbollah, prevents us from making any other interpretation or assessment.

Those who think that the expansion of the war as a concept and strategically will be limited only to the Middle East are mistaken.

Until the US presidential elections in November, it will expand the ongoing violence energy and almost reach the borders of our homeland.

It is out of the question for us to deny that Israel's sabotage and attacks are also a message given to Turkey.

The deaths of Raisi, Haniyeh, and Nasrallah in sequence are some of the grave events that are intertwined and connected to each other.

REACTION TO ISLAMIC COUNTRIES

Islamic countries must raise their voices against Netanyahu for the sake of Allah. How will those who swim in wealth, those who carry the titles of emir, sultan, and king at the beginning of their names, account for this? Where is it a Muslim attitude to claim rights in Lebanon and be condemned to the mentality of 'let the snake that doesn't touch me live for a thousand years'? Is it not a shame, is it not a sin, is it not a pity?

If not today, when will the torch of unity and togetherness be lit? If it is not forbidden to sleep comfortably while innocent civilians are being killed en masse, what is it? What is the difference between posing as neutral and shamelessness in the face of a humanitarian problem that has reached enormous proportions? The realization of an independent, sovereign, and geographically integral Palestine based on the 1967 borders is of key importance for regional and world peace.

TURKEY-SYRIA TALKS

Turkey and Syria should meet on the basis of cooperation and reconciliation without further delay. Our national security elements must be on alert and vigilant against the threat of expansion by Israel and its supporters.

NEW CONSTITUTION DISCUSSIONS

I believe that the need for a new constitution will be addressed with determination in a climate of broad consensus during this legislative year. Bringing a civil and democratic constitution to our country and nation will be the greatest democratic achievement of the new century. The nature and systemic architecture of the Presidential Government System contradict the current constitution, which carries the thick traces and residues of the September 12 coup period.

For this reason, it is an urgent necessity for us to act with a sense of responsibility, prepare a new constitution, and bring it into the life of the state and nation.

I believe that the Teaching Profession Law proposal and the 9th Judicial Package will be enacted in a short time.

RESPONSE TO ÖZGÜR ÖZEL'S ALLIANCE OF THE GOOD AND THE BAD

The MHP and the People's Alliance will keep the promises they made to our nation one by one. Our alliance is the harbinger of Turkey's bright future. Our alliance is the flag-bearer of the Turkish and the Turkish century. Our alliance is the guarantee of economic and political power.

Look at the strange, wretched, and wasted style; it is sheer shamelessness for the provocateur CHP Chairman, who calls their own alliance 'the good' and ours 'the bad', to storm and rage at courthouse doors with a handful of MHP enemies, like a sinking ship, dragging himself along the unknown shores of political immorality.

STATEMENT ON THE SİNAN ATEŞ CASE

Whoever is anti-Turkey, sloppy, and stained, they have all come together and attempted to shamefully accuse the MHP and our fellow party members in connection with a murder case being heard.

Old or new, it doesn't matter; some party chairmen, incompetent reporters, and television channels spreading discord and mischief on screens have set up makeshift courts, acting as expert witnesses, judges, and prosecutors, and have attempted to judge our party and our fellow party members with an appetite that puts even treachery to shame.

Those who shamelessly and brazenly look for instigators and murderers by distorting the facts, and those who test our patience with crocodile tears, should first look in the mirror. They should try to speak to the extent that their honor and dignity allow. The MHP is carefully following the hearings of the well-known case, the second of which began yesterday at the Ankara 32nd High Criminal Court.

There is no need for many words. In fact, there is no one worth it. Let me say little, let the addressees understand much. It is enough for us. I will not let those who conduct organized Pennsylvania operations against the MHP trample on either the Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları) or the MHP!
