The Supreme Election Council (YSK) has decided to recount the votes in Kütahya, where CHP candidate Eyüp Kahveci won according to unofficial results.
As the March 31 Local Elections are left behind, political parties continue to challenge the results.
The Supreme Election Council (YSK) evaluated the application by the CHP, which had objected to the 'recount the votes' decision made by the Kütahya Provincial Election Board. Rejecting the CHP's objection, the YSK decided that the votes in Kütahya should be recounted.

In the March 31 Local Elections, the CHP, MHP, and AKP ran a neck-and-neck race in Kütahya. According to unofficial results, CHP candidate Eyüp Kahveci had emerged first from the ballot box with 29.69 percent of the vote.
