BTP leader Hüseyin Baş slams government and opposition over Öcalan debate

The call made by Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli for Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, saying, "If the isolation is lifted, let him come and speak in Parliament," continues to hold its place on the agenda.

Following Bahçeli's call, which dominated the agenda, Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel said, "Devlet Bey raised the stakes. I am raising the stakes, Devlet Bey; I am also offering a state to the Kurds. I offer all Kurds who do not feel they fully belong to be the owners of the Republic of Turkey state."

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated, "The historic window of opportunity should not be sacrificed for personal calculations."

Stating that Turkey is being handed over to imperialism through collusion, Baş said, "We are going through days where the country is being handed over to imperialism through collusion. Do not pay attention to the rhetoric of 'deep mind,' 'state mind,' 'national interests,' etc.; join the ranks of the BTP and let us build our future."

HOW DID THE US CONVINCE THE MHP, CHP, AND AKP?

Stating that the US convinced everyone of the new process by giving them a carrot, Hüseyin Baş made the following assessments;

"We have to evaluate the whole event within the framework of the Greater Middle East Project. The US came, gave everyone something, and everyone is happy with what they received, waiting for the developments that will happen tomorrow with a carrot. Something like this was said to the will called 'state mind'; 'You have been dealing with terrorism for 40 years, we are ending terrorism.' A state will be established in the region where the YPG is, and these PKK militants will no longer be able to carry out any actions in your country. They will be disarmed, but in return, you will release Apo.' They gave such a carrot. They told the government, the ruling power, in return for this, 'You are in power for life, no problem.' And they told the opposition, 'You are the main opposition for life.'"

"THEY SOLD THE INTERESTS OF THE TURKISH NATION FOR THE INTERESTS OF THE US"

Therefore, we are facing politicians who sell out the interests of the Turkish nation for the sake of US interests, while the Turkish nation receives nothing, and who market this to the nation under the name of 'national interests.' Whatever they did, they did it for the interests of the US. They stand up and say 'Hey America,' they stand up and say 'Nationalism,' they stand up and say 'Atatürkism,' but they go and hand the country over to the US.

"THEY DID WHATEVER THE US WANTED"

Now, they supposedly did things against the US; well, is the establishment of a state by the PYD against the interests of the US? Wasn't the establishment of a state by Barzani what the US wanted? Didn't the US want the fragmentation of Iraq? It did. Who did it? The Turkish government did. Didn't the US want the fragmentation of Syria? Who did it? The Turkish government. Didn't the US want the fragmentation of Libya? Who did it? The Turkish government.

WHAT WAS PROMISED TO THE DEM PARTY?

A Kurdistan will be established in Northern Syria; what did they tell its components in Turkey? You will be able to act more comfortably in the municipalities, you will be able to speak your native languages more comfortably; they gave this carrot to the HDP and Demirtaş group inside as well.

"THEY WILL ESTABLISH KURDISTAN IN NORTHERN SYRIA. EVERYONE IS FINE WITH IT, BUT..."

They will establish Kurdistan in Northern Syria. Everyone is fine with the situation. But my Kurdish citizens should not think that just because a state will be established there, the US, which does not allow the Republic of Turkey to benefit from those lands, those riches, those resources, that oil, that agriculture, will allow our Kurdish citizens there to benefit from it tomorrow. It will seize that too. Just as the PKK stands up today and cries out, 'The US left me, withdrew its hand from me,' the US will withdraw its hand from all of them tomorrow. Because the US is not concerned with giving these lands to anyone; it is concerned with keeping these lands under its own control. Currently, Turkish politics is also being held by its ears by the US and played with as they wish."
