Busy week in the Turkish Parliament: CBRT Governor Fatih Karahan to give presentation

The TBMM General Assembly will address the Highway Traffic Law proposal this week. The proposal includes deterrent penalties for those who violate traffic rules. For example, those driving without a license will have to pay a fine of 40 thousand liras, while those using fake license plates will face a fine of 140 thousand liras.

PRESENTATION BY CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR KARAHAN

On Tuesday, October 7, Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan will give a presentation to members of parliament at the Planning and Budget Committee. The presentation is expected to cover topics such as global economic developments, Turkey's economic situation, inflation, and monetary policies. Additionally, the Central Bank's interest rate decisions and strategies for combating inflation will be on the agenda.

COMMITTEE WORK AND GROUP MEETINGS

The National Solidarity, Fraternity and Democracy Commission established in the TBMM will hold its 14th meeting on Wednesday, October 8. This meeting will include the views of women's and youth platforms.

Furthermore, political party group meetings will be held in Parliament on Tuesday and Wednesday. During these meetings, party leaders will share their messages on current issues from the parliamentary podium.
