The primary election for the provincial presidency of the Yeni Parti İzmir Provincial Organization has concluded. According to unofficial results, the founding İzmir Provincial President of Yeni Parti, Çağatay Güç, finished first, surpassing the former Mayor of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Aziz Kocaoğlu.
According to the announced unofficial results, Güç received 18,511 votes, while Kocaoğlu's vote count remained at 14,167. It was noted that in the distribution by district, Kocaoğlu led in some outer districts, while Güç received higher support in the central districts.
The candidate who received the most votes in the primary will face the delegates for the provincial presidency at the provincial congress. The 1st Ordinary Provincial Congress of Yeni Parti İzmir will be held on Sunday, October 25, between 10:00 and 18:00 at the Tepekule Congress Center in Bayraklı.
The result of the provincial presidency will become official with the election to be held at the congress.
