Call for release from Özgür Çelik! 'Young people must be set free'

CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik, in a statement made following the release of Esila Ayık and two other youths, called for the immediate release of the young people still remaining in prison. Çelik reiterated his demand for the freedom of political prisoners and for an early election.

Call for release from Özgür Çelik! 'Young people must be set free'

CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik made statements following the court case in which a release decision was issued for Esila Ayık and two other youths.

In his speech, Çelik said the following:

"Our demand is clear and unequivocal. There are still young people in prison; these young people must be released as soon as possible and regain their freedom. All political prisoners must regain their freedom, and the ballot box for an early election must be brought before the public. This government must go through an early election."
