Call regarding Lütfü Savaş from CHP Rize deputy
Reactions continue over the re-nomination of Lütfü Savaş by the CHP for the local elections, after he was met with protests from earthquake survivors in Hatay. This time, a CHP Rize deputy has voiced his opposition to Savaş's candidacy.
The controversy surrounding the candidacy of Lütfü Savaş, whose name was re-announced for the Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayoralty at the CHP Party Assembly (PM) held on January 11, continues.
Another reaction calling for the withdrawal of Savaş's candidacy—who was also protested during the commemorations held in Hatay for the anniversary of the February 6 earthquakes—has come from CHP Rize deputy Tahsin Ocaklı.
Ocaklı expressed his reaction in a post on his social media account, stating, "Whatever the people of Hatay want should be done. If the people do not want Savaş, then what the people want should be done."
