Çankaya District Chair and board dismissed! Ankara purge in IYI Party

Resignations and purges continue in the IYI Party following its "free and independent" decision. The IYI Party, which won 43 seats in the elections, currently has 38 deputies. 

Most recently, while the district chairs of Akyurt, Çubuk, Haymana, and Beypazarı were dismissed, IYI Party Ankara Provincial Chair Yener Yıldırım announced the new appointment and dismissal decisions on his X account.

Yıldırım stated the following:

"As Keçiören District Chair Mr. Hüsnü Serkan Oğuz has become a candidate for Municipal Council Member, Mr. Haluk Baran has been appointed as the Founding District Chair in his place.

As Mamak District Chair Mr. Ümit Yıldırım has become a candidate for Mamak Mayor, Mr. Gürbüz Şancı has been appointed as the Founding District Chair in his place.

As Polatlı District Chair Mr. İlhan Dereköy has become a candidate for Polatlı Mayor, Mr. Adnan Sezgin has been appointed as the Founding District Chair in his place.

As Altındağ District Chair Mr. Remzi Sağlam has become a candidate for Altındağ Mayor, Mr. İsmail Serdar Kara has been appointed as the Founding District Chair in his place.

As Etimesgut District Chair Mr. Fatih Sultan Mehmet Hamzaçebi has become a candidate for Etimesgut Mayor, Mr. Gazi Ercüment Tekin has been appointed as the Founding District Chair in his place."

PURGE IN ÇANKAYA

Yıldırım also announced that the Çankaya District Chair and the district board had been removed from their duties.

Yıldırım said the following:

The Çankaya District Chair and District Board have been removed from their duties, and Attorney Doğukan Kozan has been appointed as the Founding District Chair in their place. Announced to the public.
