Miners who have been resisting for 10 days to stop the privatization of the thermal power plant in Çayırhan have won. The privatization has been postponed.
Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant miners have been protesting against privatization underground for 10 days.
After failing to reach a result in their meeting with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the workers marched to the Ministry of Treasury and Finance yesterday.
The calls made by the workers to 'immediately cancel the privatization' have yielded results.
TENDER POSTPONED TO MARCH
According to the report by Tuğba Nur Çelik from Sözcü, the tender has been postponed to March.
The miners have suspended their protest until February.
