Cem Aydın's trial adjourned: Signature requirement lifted

The trial of CHP Youth Branch Chairman Cem Aydın has been adjourned once again. Aydın, who appeared before the court on charges of "insulting a public official due to their duty" and "targeting individuals who have served in counter-terrorism," will have his next hearing on June 20, 2025.

SIGNATURE REQUIREMENT LIFTED

The court panel lifted the weekly signature requirement previously imposed on Cem Aydın. However, it was decided that the travel ban on Aydın would remain in effect.

Aydın's lawyers argued that these restrictions hindered his political activities and requested the removal of all judicial control measures. However, the court only partially accepted this request.

Cem Aydın is accused of insulting a public official due to their duty and targeting public officials who have served in counter-terrorism in a case opened against him due to a social media post.
