Cemal Canpolat officially announces his candidacy for CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair

Following Özgür Çelik, Cemal Canpolat has announced his candidacy for the CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair. The meeting where Canpolat announced his candidacy was attended by CHP Deputy Chairmen Eren Erdem, Bülent Kuşoğlu, Zeynel Emre, Yunus Emre, Hasan Efe Uyar; CHP deputies Gamze Akkuş İlgezdi, Oğuz Kaan Salıcı, Yüksel Mansur Kılınç, Hüseyin Yıldız; nearly 18 district chairs, CHP Party Assembly (PM) members, and CHP alternate members. 

Before the announcement, Canan Kaftancıoğlu, Cemal Canpolat, and Selçuk Sarıyar and Mehmet Ali Yüksel, whose names had come to the fore during the candidacy process, met with the deputy chairmen. Kaftancıoğlu wished Canpolat success in the candidacy race.

“WE WILL CHANGE THIS ORDER”

Stating, "We will change this order," Canpolat said, “We will put an end to CHP members being forced to go to the doors of the IYI Party to find jobs in municipalities. We will not leave our district chairs unsupported, and we will look after our organization. We will not allow our Chairman, Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, to be discredited. We will stand by our chairman, and we will carry out the renewal with our chairman.”

“CHANGE IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT BEING A REVOLUTIONARY”

Canpolat stated the following:

"We will achieve this administration by bringing excluded workers and managers into the management. Change cannot happen by alienating and isolating the CHP youth branches. The party management persistently avoids being itself and is moving away from the left-wing, social democratic rhetoric reflected in its own written documents! Change is not possible without being a revolutionary.” 

423 PROVINCIAL DELEGATES ATTENDED

According to the report in Cumhuriyet, 423 provincial delegates came to the provincial building today to support Istanbul Provincial Chair candidate Canpolat.
