Cemal Enginyurt calls on Özgür Özel for a rally for the martyrs: 'Apply for it!'
Democrat Party Deputy Chairman Cemal Enginyurt, who appeared on the Gündem Özel program with Simge Fıstıkoğlu on Halk TV, made a call to CHP leader Özgür Özel. Enginyurt said, "Come next week and apply for a rally for the martyrs at the Galata Bridge."
Following the Palestine rally organized by associations close to the AKP, Ege Akersoy was arrested for assaulting an individual named İsmail Aydemir, who was carrying a "tawhid" flag.
"I SAID WE ARE IN SENSITIVE TIMES"
In his statement to the prosecutor's office, Akersoy stated that his father was a retired major and that he was raised with nationalist sentiments, saying the following:
"After the recent issue raised by Saudi Arabia regarding the photograph of our country's founding leader and the actions taken against our country, and following the martyrdom of our 12 soldiers in the recent terrorist attacks, I was expecting a Turkish citizen to carry a Turkish flag. When I saw the person coming towards me carrying a green flag with Arabic writing on it, I said to him, 'Are you not a Turkish citizen? We are in sensitive times.'"
"RALLY" CALL FROM CEMAL ENGİNYURT TO ÖZEL
Enginyurt reacted to the caliphate flags unfurled at the rally held at the Galata Bridge.
Enginyurt also reacted to a video from December 30 showing an individual making anti-Republic remarks at Anıtkabir, and invited the Minister of Interior to take action.
Enginyurt made a call to CHP leader Özgür Özel and said, "Apply for a rally at Galata."
