A funeral ceremony was held at Parliament for former Minister of Labor and Social Security Yaşar Okuyan, who passed away. Okuyan's funeral will be laid to rest tomorrow following the funeral prayer to be held at the Yalova Central Mosque after the noon prayer.

In addition to Okuyan's family, the ceremony was attended by Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, former Parliament Speakers Bülent Arınç, Hikmet Çetin, and Cemil Çiçek, Democrat Party Chairman Gültekin Uysal, BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici, Homeland Party Chairman Muharrem İnce, members of parliament, former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, political party officials, and parliamentary staff.
Following the reading of Yaşar Okuyan's biography, a moment of silence was observed and prayers were recited.
After the ceremony, Okuyan's family accepted condolences.

Born in Yalova in 1949, Okuyan served as the Minister of Labor and Social Security between 1999 and 2002. Okuyan was married and a father of 3 children.
