Certificate of election given to AKP's Mehmet Öntürk in Hatay before CHP's objection was resolved
The Hatay Provincial Election Board has issued the certificate of election to AKP candidate Mehmet Öntürk without waiting for the outcome of the CHP's objection.
As the March 31 Local Elections are left behind, political parties continue to object to the results.
While the objection process was still ongoing, the Republican People's Party (CHP) applied to the Supreme Election Council (YSK) for the cancellation of the Hatay Provincial Election Board's decision to issue the certificate of election to AKP candidate Mehmet Öntürk.
While YSK Chairman Ahmet Yener stated regarding the CHP's objection, "Let's see, let's start the meeting, we will inform you at the end of the day," the Hatay Provincial Election Board issued the certificate of election to AKP candidate Mehmet Öntürk.
