CHP announces 103 more candidates. Four metropolitan candidates confirmed
Following the CHP Central Executive Board (MYK) and Party Assembly (PM) meetings, the party announced 103 more candidates. This brings the total number of CHP candidates set to compete in the March 31 Local Elections to 965.
With the decision from the CHP Party Assembly (PM), 2 more metropolitan mayoral candidates to compete in the March 31 local elections have been determined.
According to the decision from the PM, Atasoy Bilgin became the Metropolitan Mayoral Candidate for Kocaeli, and Zeynep Özbaş Arıkan became the Metropolitan Mayoral Candidate for Kahramanmaraş.
The PM decided to nominate Zeynep Özbaş Arıkan in Kahramanmaraş, Muzaffer Ertürk in Gaziantep, Ömer Durak in Mardin, and Atasoy Bilgin in Kocaeli. The CHP has now determined candidates for 25 out of 30 metropolitan cities. Candidates for Ordu, Malatya, Mardin, Kayseri, and Şanlıurfa have not yet been announced.
Çerkezköy Mayor Vahap Akay, who was a candidate for the Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality but was not nominated, has been nominated for Çerkezköy again.
