CHP calls for driver's license amnesty!

CHP Samsun Deputy Murat Çan, speaking at a press conference in Parliament, reminded that their proposal to raise the lowest pension to the level of the minimum wage was rejected, and stated that they would support a new regulation for SSK and Bağ-Kur pensions in Parliament.

Noting that 700 different products in markets have seen price hikes this week and that the government has remained silent in the face of these increases, Çan also pointed out that fuel price hikes have negatively affected professional drivers.

CHP's Çan expressed that an perception has been created as if the hikes in urban and intercity transport and taxi fares are the fault of the drivers, but emphasized that many products in the transport sector, primarily fuel, have seen price increases, forcing drivers to raise transport fares.

Conveying that drivers also have a demand for a license amnesty, Çan requested a one-time pardon for those whose licenses have been confiscated, provided they have not endangered human life, caused injury, or have substance abuse issues.
