Actor Erdal Beşikçioğlu, who is etched in memory for his role in the series Behzat Ç., became the CHP's Etimesgut mayoral candidate for the local elections on March 31, 2024.

Continuing his local election campaign, Beşikçioğlu was a guest on the program Mevzular Açık Mikrofon, hosted by Oğuzhan Uğur and broadcast on the GAİN platform.

In the program, which was attended by political party leaders before the May elections, Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu had treated the audience in the hall to kokoreç, while Workers' Party of Turkey deputies had treated them to simit.

Sharing a clip from the yet-to-be-aired program, Oğuzhan Uğur's remark, "Mr. Erdal, where is this money coming from?" made the audience laugh.

Uğur shared the video with the note 'Well, it is Ankara after all' and said the following:
