CHP's Eyüpsultan candidate Özmen: 'Opposition voices against the current administration are very loud'

CHP Eyüpsultan Mayoral Candidate Dr. Mithat Bülent Özmen spoke about the upcoming local elections.

Özmen said, "A rights-based administration, not a rent-seeking one, is coming to Eyüpsultan. Polls clearly reveal our citizens' desire to change the current municipal administration. If those who want change unite behind the winning candidate, Eyüpsultan will achieve the prosperity it deserves."

"EVERYONE KNOWS THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION DOES NOT ALLOW EYÜPSULTAN RESIDENTS TO LIVE AS THEY DESERVE..."

CHP Eyüpsultan Mayoral Candidate Dr. Mithat Bülent Özmen stated that they have begun the countdown to change the fate of Eyüpsultan and noted the following:

"We are continuing our work without slowing down so that the people of Eyüpsultan can reach the quality of life they deserve. By 2029, we will all witness that living in Eyüpsultan is a privilege," said Dr. Özmen, expressing that they clearly see how high the demand for change is in Eyüpsultan in the polls. Stating that everyone knows the current administration does not allow Eyüpsultan residents to live as they deserve, Özmen added, "Those who want change are leading in the polls. Opposition voices against the current administration are very loud. When Eyüpsultan residents who want social municipalism consolidate their votes and support the winning candidate, they will bring their district a rights-based administration instead of a rent-seeking one."

"EYÜPSULTAN IS NOW SAYING 'STOP' TO THIS TREND"

Expressing that it is a source of shame that the social policies of Eyüpsultan, one of Istanbul's ancient districts, are virtually non-existent, Özmen said, "Eyüpsultan is now saying 'stop' to this trend. It deserves a brand new perspective and wants to be equal and peaceful citizens with a social municipalism approach. For this, when they go to the ballot box on March 31, they will put an end to this long-standing rent-based municipalism by saying Mithat Bülent Özmen."

"TRAFFIC PROBLEM WILL NOT BE AN OBSTACLE BEFORE US"

Stating that they have rolled up their sleeves for an Eyüpsultan that is alive with its nurseries, day care centers, parks, social areas, museums, culture-art centers, and festivals, Dr. Özmen said, "Our goal is to create an environment where Eyüpsultan residents do not have to go to other districts to have fun or rest, but can experience these in Eyüpsultan. The transportation and traffic problem will not be an obstacle before us. With a 15 thousand vehicle parking lot, going to Eyüpsultan will not be a cause for hesitation."

"WE WILL ADD STRENGTH TO OUR STRENGTH"

Expressing that they will follow a path that will be integrated with the work of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, which includes not only housing and nutrition but also employment for citizens living in difficulty within the borders of Eyüpsultan and neglected by the existing municipality, Dr. Özmen said; "When we take office, instead of acting alone to solve problems, we will provide services in a more coordinated and systematic way with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. We will add strength to our strength."

"MY FIRST JOB IS TO MEET WITH WORKER AND CIVIL SERVANT REPRESENTATIVES"

Underlining that they will not forget municipal employees, with the awareness that the salaries received against inflation are losing value day by day, Dr. Özmen said, "My first job on the morning of April 1, when I take office, will be to meet with worker and civil servant representatives and discuss improving our friends' wages. We will grow and develop together."
