CHP's Gamze Taşcıer conveys İmamoğlu's message: 'Either justice or misery'
CHP Deputy Chair Gamze Taşcıer shared the message of Ekrem İmamoğlu, whom she visited at Silivri Prison, with the public. İmamoğlu emphasized that the country must make a choice between justice and misery.
CHP Deputy Chair Gamze Taşcıer visited her party's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu at the Marmara Closed Prison in Silivri. Speaking at a public meeting held in Beylikdüzü following the visit, Taşcıer conveyed İmamoğlu's message.
Following her visit, Taşcıer attended the public meeting in Beylikdüzü and stated the following:
"Although Silivri is a symbol of darkness and injustice in this country, thanks to the will and courage of Mayor Ekrem and his companions, and not just with the 16 million, but with the 15 million votes in the primary held on March 23 and the tens of thousands and millions filling these squares today, it will actually become a symbol of will and courage. When we come to power, we will close Silivri. I want to share with you here the letter that Mayor Ekrem has sent to the 85 million."
'EITHER JUSTICE OR MISERY'
‘Practices and operations that our heavenly homeland and ancient nation do not deserve at all are taking place.
We are drifting through an agenda that deeply saddens us all, at a stage that is completely contrary to the sanctity of labor and sensitivity to family life. While these negative developments serve the interests of a handful of people, they cause our nation to become impoverished, remain unemployed, and lead to millions of our people living below the hunger threshold. Let us not forget: either justice or misery’.
With these expressions, Ekrem İmamoğlu said the following: Democracy is a struggle for labor and bread. For this reason, we will either be on the side of democracy, and prosperity will follow, or we will be on the side of autocracy, and we will all be condemned to misery together."
