New management of the CHP Germany Federation announced: Özgür Uçma is the new president!

The new management of the CHP Germany Federation has been announced.

At the congress, which was also attended by Mehmet Tüm, Party Assembly Member responsible for CHP Overseas Organizations, who also served as the Chair of the Council, Republican People's Party delegates elected their new management following the expiration of the term of the administration appointed by the CHP Headquarters. 

The delegates of the German associations elected Özgür Uçma as one of the presidential candidates.

Özgür Uçma and his team will serve in the management of the CHP Germany Federation of Associations for two years.

MEHMET TÜM BECAME CHAIR OF THE COUNCIL

The general assembly of the congress, in which 16 associations and 4 representations from Germany participated and cast votes, began with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem. Nazım Ergin, President of the CHP Paris Association, also took part in the council, where Mehmet Tüm, Party Assembly Member responsible for CHP Overseas Organizations, was elected as the chair. 

Mehmet Tüm was the first to speak at the congress. Starting his speech by conveying the greetings of Chairman Özgür Özel, Mehmet Tüm recited the poem "İçerde" (Inside) by master poet Ahmed Arif, which is etched in memories with the lines "Spring has come to the mountains of my homeland," and said, "Yes, because spring has come to the mountains of our homeland, I am here. I am here to share this beautiful spring with you, my friends."

'THE HUNDRED-YEAR-OLD PLANE TREE HAS SPROUTED AGAIN'

Reminding the audience of the victory CHP achieved in the local elections, Mehmet Tüm stated, "The hundred-year-old giant plane tree has sprouted again and, with the appreciation of our people, has become the leading party once more. Our people did not just make our party the leading party; they also placed a great responsibility on our shoulders. With the awareness of this responsibility, we will come to power in the general elections just as we did in the local ones, friends; this is a vital necessity for our country." 

CHP'S TÜM: OUR PATH IS CLEAR, OUR TOMORROWS ARE BRIGHT!

Stating, "We will definitely save our country from the one-man regime and the oppression of the AKP," CHP's Tüm said, "Dear comrades, the Republican People's Party is not just any party. The Republican People's Party is not just any political party. The Republican People's Party is a party that was founded on battlefields, fought a war of independence, and declared the Republic. The only power that will illuminate this darkness that Turkey is going through is the very party that declared the Republic of Turkey." Emphasizing that every CHP member at home and abroad has a great responsibility to bring the Republican People's Party to power, Mehmet Tüm said, "On this path, on the path to power, may the Federation of Associations in Germany be auspicious for our fellow travelers in Germany, our party, and our country. Our path is clear, our tomorrows are bright, comrades." 

'THOSE WHO KEEP THE HEARTH BURNING KILOMETERS AWAY...'

Following Mehmet Tüm's opening speech, Nazım Ergin, President of the CHP Paris Association, who was elected as a member of the council, also delivered a short message. Starting his words by saying, "Dear comrades, I have brought you a bundle of greetings and congratulations from France, the capital of enlightenment, from Paris, where the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was proclaimed," Nazım Ergin said, "Be assured that the eyes and ears of the Republican People's Party laborers in France are on the good news that will come from this hall today. We saw the power of being together, solidarity, and joining hands and shoulders on March 31; we still carry the excitement and energy of the morning of April 1 in our consciousness. The unity that will emerge from this hall and the decisions that will be taken in this hall have the power to influence all of Europe. Greetings to all the laborers who have put their effort, sweat, and dedication into this."

In his message, Nazım Ergin said, "Without prolonging my words, I greet you and our congress on behalf of the CHP Paris Association and wish you success. Greetings to those who keep the chimney of the father's hearth smoking kilometers away from their homeland; the tomorrows are ours."

TWO OF THE FOUR CANDIDATES WITHDREW, TWO COMPETED

At the congress, the agenda of the CHP Germany Federation of Associations was evaluated and accepted.

Two of the four presidential candidates who had previously announced their candidacy announced in the hall that they were withdrawing. Candidates Özgür Uçma and Murat Polat competed. After the candidates made their speeches, the council set up the ballot box and the election proceeded.

ÖZGÜR UÇMA ELECTED PRESIDENT

Delegates determined according to the number of active members of the 16 associations and 4 representations that make up the Republican People's Party Germany Federation cast their votes in the election. Özgür Uçma left Murat Polat behind and came out first from the ballot box. Özgür Uçma and his team will manage the CHP Germany Federation of Associations for two years as the first elected management and will coordinate all of CHP's political activities in Germany.
