CHP's Gökhan Günaydın reacts sharply to Ensarioğlu: 'Are you protecting a little child or the killers?'

As the investigation into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found in a sack in Diyarbakır, continues, the statements made by AKP Diyarbakır MP Galip Ensarioğlu, such as "There are things we know but are not saying; they are family friends," have sparked reactions. CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın gave a sharp response to these words from Ensarioğlu.

Attending the 101st-anniversary events of the Republican People's Party in Samsun, Günaydın evaluated Ensarioğlu's statements regarding the Narin Güran murder as a great shame. Criticizing Ensarioğlu without naming him directly, Günaydın said:

'TURKEY IS EXPERIENCING A GREAT SHAME'

"Turkey is truly experiencing a great shame. A great deal of time was lost while it could not be discovered how our little girl was killed in a village of twenty households over 20 days. Yet everyone knows that this situation should not have taken this long with a normal investigation. Unfortunately, as suspected, this incident is under political protection."

WHO ARE YOU PROTECTING?

Günaydın also reacted sharply to Ensarioğlu's statement, "If I told what I knew, strange things would happen," and noted the following:

"A member of parliament comes out and says, 'we also know the family.' Now, is the thing you are going to protect a little child, or a family that killed her while she was alive and threw her into a creek bed? I feel a great sense of shame."

CHP's Günaydın stated that Turkey must rid itself of this shame as soon as possible and that justice must be served, adding, "The time to begin a moral, virtuous march again has come and gone."

22 SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY

AKP MP Ensarioğlu's statements have caused a major stir across broad segments of society.

As reactions grow stronger by the day, calls for justice to be served swiftly are also intensifying. It has been reported that 22 suspects are in custody as part of the investigation and that judicial proceedings regarding the process are ongoing.
