CHP's Günaydın: We asked for an investigation into municipal concerts, they rejected it!

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın addressed the concert investigations targeting CHP-run municipalities. Günaydın stated, "We immediately submitted a motion to Parliament requesting that all concert expenditures of all municipalities, without exception, since the year 2000 be investigated by a commission to be established in Parliament; they rejected it."

Günaydın said, "The actors of the 23-year corruption spree have made the concert expenditures of CHP municipalities their talking point.

"WE SAID LET IT BE INVESTIGATED AFTER 2000, THEY DID NOT ACCEPT!"

We immediately submitted a motion to Parliament requesting that all concert expenditures of all municipalities, without exception, since the year 2000 be investigated by a commission to be established in Parliament; they rejected it," he said:

Günaydın used the following expressions regarding the rejection of the motion to investigate concert expenditures: 

"Now, we have submitted a parliamentary question to Murat Kurum, the former AKP Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate and current Minister of Environment and Urbanization:

Determine the concert expenditures for the 2004-2009, 2009-2014, 2014-2019, and 2019-2024 periods separately for all municipalities. Convert the expenditures into dollars based on the dollar exchange rate on July 1st of the mentioned years.

And on top of that, let us reveal the total expenditures of the Presidential Yeditepe Concerts held during the pandemic period."
