CHP leader Özgür Özel responds to ugly allegations regarding 'Gülşah Durbay': 'They wrote it while she was undergoing chemotherapy'

CHP leader Özgür Özel began the first group meeting of the new legislative term with a deputy transfer.

Nimet Özdemir, who resigned from the IYI Party and served as an independent for a while, joined the ranks of the CHP today, and CHP leader Özgür Özel pinned her badge.

The CHP leader touched upon the murders of İlknur and Ayşenur in Fatih, as well as the increasing violence in recent days, and also made assessments regarding the closed session to be held in the TBMM.

"A monster named Semih Çelik murdered İkbal Uzuner and Ayşenur Halil, and in Tekirdağ, baby Sıla lost her battle for life while receiving treatment. In the first 9 months of this year, 295 women were taken from life. We know that femicides are not a coincidence. It is this order itself that produces violence. Expressions that highlight the characteristics of the perpetrator and turn the relationship into tabloid material are being used.

REACTION TO THE ISTANBUL CONVENTION

How did this society get to this state? What creates these monsters? It is seen through statements and figures that this political regime is not good for women. We are in such a process that; this government not only fails to protect women and children but also takes steps backward from positive ones.
