CHP Party Assembly convenes for İmamoğlu! The Lütfü Savaş detail...
The CHP Party Assembly has convened to discuss the potential arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu and his presidential candidacy. The meeting will also address the corruption investigation into İmamoğlu and the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's inquiry into allegations of "votes for money" at the CHP convention.
The CHP Party Assembly (PM) has convened with the agenda of discussing the potential arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. One of the most significant topics of the meeting will be İmamoğlu's potential presidential candidacy. While a vote on the principles regarding this matter is expected within the Party Assembly, it is anticipated that the roadmap to be followed by the CHP will be clarified at the end of the meeting.
During the meeting, where political developments are being addressed, the process regarding the determination of İmamoğlu as the CHP's presidential candidate, in line with the results of the organization-supervised primary election held on March 23, will be examined.
Furthermore, among the issues expected to be brought to the agenda at the PM meeting are the corruption investigation conducted against İmamoğlu and the investigation by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into allegations that "votes were cast in exchange for money" at the 38th Ordinary Convention of the CHP. In addition to this, the application to the court by former Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Lütfü Savaş and convention delegates Levent Çelik and Hatip Karaaslan for the cancellation of the CHP's extraordinary convention decision will also be evaluated.
The 21st Extraordinary Convention that the CHP will hold on April 6 is also among the important topics of the meeting. The party leadership continues its discussions to determine the strategy to be followed during this critical process.
