CHP responds to the arrest of Mesut Kocagöz

Following the cable car accident that occurred in Antalya, 5 people, including CHP Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz, have been arrested. Judicial control measures were imposed on 8 other individuals who were detained.

CHP Ankara Deputy Umut Akdoğan made a post regarding the matter on the social media platform X.

"ABSURD PERCEPTION OPERATIONS..."

In his post, Umut Akdoğan stated the following:

"Upon the instruction of our Chairman Özgür Özel, we have set off for Antalya together with our Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır. We will follow this legal travesty to the end. Do you not see how much damage it does to our country to use the law as a tool for your absurd perception operations?"

CHP DELEGATION HAS SET OFF

There has been a reaction from the CHP to the arrest of the Kepez Mayor. CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır and Constitutional Commission Member Attorney Umut Akdoğan are heading to Kepez. Akdoğan announced the development with these words:

"Upon the instruction of our Chairman @eczozgurozel, we have set off for Antalya together with our Group Deputy Chairman @alimahir.

We will follow this legal travesty to the end. Do you not see how much damage it does to our country to use the law as a tool for your absurd perception operations?"

"THE DECISION IS CONSIDERED POLITICAL"

Mollaveisoğlu stated the following:

"There is currently a protest by CHP members and the people of Kepez in front of the courthouse in Antalya's Kepez district. There is an objection to the lightning-fast arrest of Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz regarding the cable car accident, as well as to the connections and evidence presented. The decision is considered to be political."
