The CHP has determined its candidate for the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor election. CHP Spokesperson Müslim Sarı announced that the party's candidate is Gülşah Yıldırım Genç.
Following the arrest of Union of Municipalities of Türkiye and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer, an election for the deputy mayor position will be held today at 14:00.
Stating that the candidate's name was finalized after evaluations, Sarı used the following expressions:
"As a result of our evaluations, we have determined our party's candidate for Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor as Gülşah Yıldırım Genç. May it be auspicious for our party and the people of Mersin."
