CHP's Umut Akdoğan asks Melih Gökçek about 'investigation permit': 'Did you meet or not?'

CHP's Umut Akdoğan addressed former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek during a statement he made at Kızılay Square, the center of Ankara. Regarding the investigation permit issued against Mansur Yavaş, Akdoğan asked Gökçek: "Did you meet with the Inspection Board or not?" he asked.

In his speech at the square, Akdoğan stated: "I am asking from the heart of Ankara, from Kızılay Square. Melih Gökçek, are you meeting with the Inspection Board that issued the investigation permit regarding Mansur Yavaş or not? Did you meet with the person who granted the investigation permit or not?"

Furthermore, Akdoğan drew attention to the programs Gökçek's son, Osman Gökçek, hosts on television and the lobbying activities he conducts in ministries. He continued his remarks by saying, "Your son Osman Gökçek goes on television and puts on a show. Is he lobbying in the ministries to ensure an investigation permit is issued against Mansur Yavaş or not?" Akdoğan stated that he was voicing these questions loudly from Kızılay Square, adding, "Because you know what is going on."
