CHP submits parliamentary question over 'refugee' condition in World Bank loan! Are they recruiting voters?

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek announced that a total of 35 billion dollars in loans has been secured, including an additional 18 billion dollar loan from the World Bank.

Following the announcement of the 35 billion dollars, the previously obtained 17 billion dollar loan has become a subject of curiosity.

"REFUGEE" QUESTION FROM CHP

CHP Bursa MP Hasan Öztürk submitted a parliamentary question regarding the loan obtained from the World Bank.

Criticizing the condition in the loan agreement that "50 percent of the employment created must be refugees," Öztürk stated, "They are both giving us a loan and imposing a condition to employ refugees. While taking a loan from the World Bank is already a debatable issue, adding the condition of employing refugees makes the loan even more controversial. Isn't providing employment to refugees a way of making them permanent in our country? While the AKP government is recruiting voters for itself on one hand, it is also interfering with the country's demographic structure. I wonder, how binding is this condition in the use of the loan?" Öztürk continued his remarks by saying, "While our own children are struggling with unemployment and poverty, and some of our children are taking their own lives because of this, what conscience allows for guaranteeing jobs to refugees? You owe a future to the children of this homeland."
