CHP's Sezgin Tanrıkulu visited former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş and former HDP Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Selçuk Mızraklı, who are being held in Edirne F-Type Prison. Making a statement after the visit, Tanrıkulu noted that the health of Demirtaş and Mızraklı is good.
Tanrıkulu stated that Demirtaş and Mızraklı have been in prison for years as political hostages of Turkey's Kurdish issue. He said that despite the rulings issued by the European Court of Human Rights and the Grand Chamber stating that "they cannot be arrested with this evidence," these decisions have not been implemented and that Demirtaş was convicted as a result of an unfair trial. He noted that the case is currently in the appellate stage and that Demirtaş is closely following political developments.

In his remarks, Tanrıkulu said, "Surely, one day there will be days when we do not talk about Turkey's Kurdish issue in front of prisons or in courtrooms."
