The CHP Central Executive Board will meet at the party headquarters on September 24 under the chairmanship of Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. At the meeting, which is expected to take place at 14:00, internal party developments and the latest situation regarding local administrations will be evaluated.
One of the priority agenda items of the meeting will be the process regarding the resignation of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş and 7 district mayors from the CHP. The MYK is also expected to discuss the planning of the parliamentary camp to be held on September 26-27.
Another important topic for the board will be the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency. With the Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance deciding to lift the preliminary injunctions previously issued in the case regarding the CHP 38th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress, the duties of Gürsel Tekin and the interim committee appointed under the scope of the injunction have ended.
Following this development, an appointment for the Istanbul Provincial Presidency is expected to be made at the MYK meeting. While it is stated that the final decision will be made by Kılıçdaroğlu, the names of Mehmet Ali Yüksel and Gürsel Tekin are coming to the fore in party circles.
