The CHP Youth Branches gathered during the Socialist International Council Meeting held in Istanbul to show their support for Ekrem İmamoğlu. Carrying banners reading "Freedom for Imamoglu," the youth plan to spread their campaign across all of Turkey.
Members of the CHP İstanbul Provincial Youth Branch gathered in front of the hotel where the Socialist International Council Meeting was held, carrying banners that read "Freedom for Imamoglu." This action was carried out as part of the "Imamoglu Everywhere" campaign launched by the CHP.
"THEY CANNOT TEAR HIM FROM OUR HEARTS"
CHP Youth Branch President Cem Aydın explained the purpose and scope of the campaign. Aydin stated that they launched this campaign as a reaction to attempts to remove Ekrem İmamoğlu's images from public transport vehicles and public squares. "They cannot tear Ekrem İmamoğlu from our hearts," Aydin said, adding that the campaign would start in Istanbul and spread throughout Turkey.
Aydin said, "We will continue this campaign, which we started in Istanbul today, in all 81 provinces starting tomorrow. They tried to restrict our presidential candidate's freedom, shut down his Twitter account, and now they want to ban his images. However, we will continue to share Ekrem İmamoğlu's images and words in every field."
This action by the CHP Youth Branches drew attention in front of the venue where the Socialist International meeting was held. Aydin emphasized that the campaign would expand, stating, "Tomorrow, you will see more of this campaign in all public squares."
