CHP's decision on Esenyurt: Mayors are on their way!
Following the arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer and the appointment of a trustee to the municipality, the CHP has called all its mayors to Esenyurt.
The Istanbul 7th Criminal Judgeship of Peace has decided to arrest CHP Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer on charges of "being a member of the PKK/KCK armed terrorist organization."
Following the decision, the Ministry of Interior announced that it had appointed a trustee to the Esenyurt Municipality. Istanbul Deputy Governor Can Aksoy will serve in the position.

According to the decision taken by the CHP, all mayors have been called to the front of the Esenyurt Municipality building.
Provincial and district mayors, who have canceled their programs and set off for Istanbul, will attend the meeting at 16:00.
