CHP's first reaction to the appointment of trustees to DEM Party municipalities: 'Everyone who does not support the AKP is a terrorist'

The Ministry of Interior has appointed trustees to the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, Batman Municipality, and the Halfeti Municipality of Şanlıurfa, all of which were under the administration of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party).

CHP Party Spokesperson Deniz Yücel reacted to the appointment of trustees to Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, Batman Municipality, and Halfeti Municipality, following the appointment at Esenyurt Municipality.

Yücel stated, "According to the mindset of Erdoğan and the AKP, everyone who is not AKP, who does not vote for the AKP, and who does not support the AKP is a terrorist and a traitor to the country."

The statement made by Yücel on his social media platform X (Twitter) account is as follows:

"After the usurpation of Esenyurt Municipality, we started the week with the usurpation of Mardin, Batman, and Halfeti Municipalities by the ruling power.

This theft of will is a natural and ordinary behavioral pattern of the one-man administration that has not internalized or adopted democracy as a way of life.

According to the mindset of Erdoğan and the AKP, everyone who is not AKP, who does not vote for the AKP, and who does not support the AKP is a terrorist and a traitor to the country.
