CHP's Malatya and Esenyurt deadlock resolved: 11 more names approved by the MYK
The mayoral candidates approved by the CHP's Central Executive Board (MYK) have begun to emerge. Most recently, the names of Veli Ağbaba for Malatya and Gürsel Tekin for Esenyurt have been approved.
The CHP's Central Executive Board (MYK) met with the agenda of determining candidates.
While the deadlock in Hatay was also expected to be resolved at the meeting, 11 names received approval.
Veli Ağbaba's name was put forward for the party's Malatya Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidacy.
Candidates for 10 districts in Istanbul also passed through the MYK.
Accordingly, the names of Gürsel Tekin in Esenyurt, Mesut Kösedağ in Kadıköy, and Aykut Erdoğdu in Ümraniye were accepted by the MYK.
The names approved by the MYK will be voted on by the Party Assembly.
