Claim about Melih Gökçek from FETÖ leader Gülen's chief of staff
Osman Şimşek, the 25-year chief of staff for FETÖ leader Gülen, made striking statements from the US, where he lives as a fugitive. Stating that a very important figure stayed in the guesthouse building in Pennsylvania, Şimşek said, "Cevdet Türkyolu would determine who would come there."
Osman Şimşek, one of the closest figures to FETÖ who served as Fethullah Gülen's chief of staff for many years, made striking statements by participating in an audio chat on the social media platform X hosted by fugitive Emrullah (Emre) Uslu. Şimşek shared information about his time as the person in charge of housing at Gülen's camp in Pennsylvania and who entered and exited the camp.
"MELİH GÖKÇEK ALSO STAYED IN THE GUESTHOUSE"
In the broadcast he joined, Osman Şimşek provided details regarding the three-apartment building used as a "guesthouse" in Pennsylvania and said, "Look, let me say something sensational," before relaying the following:
"The guesthouse building was purchased by a tradesman from Ankara and donated to the community. There were three apartments. Our cook stayed on the bottom floor. The middle apartment was used to host the Hocaefendi's guests. Melih Gökçek also came there and was a guest. Many others like him came. These individuals were accepted with the knowledge and approval of Cevdet Türkyolu."
HE WAS PURGED AFTER AN FBI INVESTIGATION
Osman Şimşek's name had previously come to the agenda with remarkable allegations. After sharing information regarding financial movements within the community, Şimşek fell out with Cevdet Türkyolu, one of the names close to Gülen, and was removed from the camp in Pennsylvania. It was alleged that he leaked information as part of an investigation conducted by the FBI into money laundering allegations against him.
HE HAD ALSO COME TO THE AGENDA WITH A HULUSİ AKAR CLAIM
Şimşek's name had previously appeared in claims that the then-Chief of General Staff Hulusi Akar had sent a letter to Gülen before the July 15 coup attempt. Allegations that Şimşek acted as an intermediary in delivering the letters in question to Gülen had been reflected in the public domain.
