Claim: Mesut Özarslan deleted his post against Erdoğan! He reportedly said 'May it be forbidden'...

Claims that Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan, who resigned from the CHP, would join the AKP have been shelved for now. AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also left the question, "Will the doors of the AK Party be opened to Mesut Özarslan, will his transition to the AK Party be on the agenda?" unanswered following his group meeting on February 11.

It has emerged that Özarslan, who is currently continuing his path as an independent, made a post against Erdoğan in 2019.

According to a report by Sözcü, it was revealed that Özarslan had criticized the purchase of four Mercedes-brand vehicles for the Presidential office for 80 million TL on social media. In the post made at that time, Özarslan stated that spending public resources in this way harmed the "rights of the unborn orphans" and said, "May my rights be forbidden to the President" if the vehicles were not returned.

Following this message being brought to the agenda by social media users, it was claimed that Mesut Özarslan deleted the tweet in question. Speaking to Oda TV, Özarslan denied that the post belonged to him, stating, "The allegations are untrue. The slanderers are at work; it really bothered them."
