Discussions regarding a cabinet revision have reignited in AKP corridors. It is being discussed that the change process, which began within the party following the losses in the local elections, will also be reflected in the cabinet.

Journalist Osman Diyadin, who is close to the government, claimed that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will enter the general elections expected to be held in 2027 or 2028 with a completely renewed council of ministers. This statement led to comments in the corridors about an "election preparation cabinet."

"A CABINET THAT WILL CARRY US TO THE ELECTION WILL BE FORMED"

In a statement on his X (Twitter) account, Diyadin said, "The new council of ministers expected to be formed by President Erdoğan will carry Turkey to the 2028 or 2027 elections. In other words, it will be a cabinet for the election preparation process."

Diyadin implied that a cabinet change is inevitable, turning attention to Erdoğan's decision.

Reminding that his previous cabinet insider information had not been denied, Osman Diyadin pointed out that no official statement saying "there is no such thing on the agenda" had been made. He used the expressions, "Let's wait and see... I say it again: It is imminent."

Another important point Diyadin drew attention to was the date of July 24. Stating that the Parliament would not go on recess, Diyadin said, "It seems that the TBMM will not go on recess on July 24. If the Parliament does not go on recess on this date, all eyes will turn to Erdoğan. The cabinet change could be announced by this date. However, if the Parliament goes on recess, the cabinet matter will be left until October."
